Coffee table open circle design. Legs and rings made with 3/4" x 1" mild steel. Rivets made with 5/8" round stock. 1/2" thick glass with pencil polish edge. Finish: hand rubbed oil and paste wax 17"h x 42"d.	Side tables, open circle design. Legs and rings made with 3/4" square mild steel. Rivets made with 5/8" round stock. 1/2" thick glass with pencil polish edge. Finish: hand rubbed oil and paste wax. 22"h x 23"d and 29"h x 18"d.
Coffee table legs and stringer are tapered hex mild steel 1/2" glass with bevel edge Finish: hand rubbed oil and paste wax 17 1/2"h x 48"w x 24"d.	Coffee table, legs and side rails forged mild steel 1" x 1 1/4" with square mortice and tenons. Glass top 3/4" thick with pencil polish edge and center glass shelf 1/2" x 20" x 16". Finish: hand rubbed oil and paste wax 17"h x 60"w x 30"d

Glenn Gilmore achieves a balance in his metalwork that brings together elements unusual in such a demanding medium. His lines are bold and clean, yet delicate details often embellish his designs. The methods Glenn uses to join different components are often traditional joinery--rivets, collars, mortise and tenon--yet the works are decidedly contemporary. These methods not only provide an important part of the overall design, but add structural integrity to the work. Whatever the approach or size, whether forging a set of large gates or a small coat hook, he devotes the same attention to design and detail.
